Acute Art is a London-based digital platform for contemporary art production. Directed by the Summit's 2018 partnering museum director Daniel Birnbaum, the platform collaborates with world-renowned contemporary artists, providing them with access to new media and technology to translate their artworks into digital mediums of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). Accessible through the Acute Art App, the platform allows you to view exhibitions of AR artworks from the comfort of your own home, showcasing works by 2018 Summit speaker Olafur Eliasson, Nina Chanel Abney, Cao Fei, KAWS and more. Olafur’s WUNDERKAMMER (2020) is available for viewing and aims to bring elements of nature into quarantined homes, illustrating how AR art can shape a more sustainable, socially distant art world.
